Keirstan found her passion for food, agriculture and small business during high school while working at Mackenzie Creamery near her home in Northeast Ohio. After graduating from Penn State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Plant Science and Agroecology, she began her career in local food procurement at The Common Market in Philadelphia. Prior to joining Seal the Seasons, Keirstan also worked with the Center for Environmental Farming Systems as a Research Assistant. Keirstan has experience working with family farms, coordinating logistics, and building farm-to-market capacity, all which she brings to the table as the Procurement Specialist at Seal the Seasons. She loves her new home in Raleigh and enjoys cooking, hiking, kayaking, listening to bluegrass and exploring the great state of North Carolina.
