Peach Cobbler


1/2 cup butter, melted

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 cups sugar

3 tablespoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup milk

4 cups frozen peaches

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg


  1. Preheat oven to 375°.

  2. Pour the melted butter into a baking dish.

  3. In a bowl, combine flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder and salt. Mix together well. Add the milk and stir to combine. Pour batter over butter.

  4. In a small saucepan, add peaches, lemon juice and 1 cup of sugar. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly. Pour the peaches over the batter. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.

  5. Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
