Warm Berry Compote


6 cups frozen mixed berries

1/2 cup sugar

1/8 cup orange juice

1 tablespoon orange zest

2 tablespoons cornstarch

2 tablespoons water


  1. Lightly grease a slow cooker. Add berries, sugar, orange juice and orange zest. Stir to combine. Cover and cook on low until bubbling, approximately 2 hours.

  2. In a small bowl, stir together cornstarch and water. Pour into berry mixture and stir to combine. Cover and cook another 10-15 minutes.

  3. Serve warm with desired ingredients, such as vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
